Litigation is a legal process to resolve disputes between two opposing parties in the legal system.
While litigation can result in the case going to court, most lawsuits are resolved before reaching a trial.
ARE LEGAL AND LITIGATION THE SAME THING?
Litigation involves legal action between (at least) two opposing individuals, groups, or businesses to settle a dispute.
In the law, legal refers to something conforming to or permitted by the law or established rules.
Additionally, lawsuits and litigation are not the same. A lawsuit is an actual dispute between opposing parties. But litigation is the process of handling a lawsuit, including actions taken before, during, and after the case.
